Since it is summertime, I thought I would recommend a beach read. For me, Belong to Me is smart chck-lit at its witty best. The plot is beautiful with realistic and lovable characters intertwined to create a web of belonging and trust that we can all relate to. You will be surprised at who you are rooting for by the end. This is a quick read that is hard to put down, so I hope your summer has a few relaxing days mixed into all the crazy! Warning: some language.

It follows characters from the author’s earlier novel Love Walked In, but it stands completely on its own. I would not worry about reading them in order.

There is some language. Nothing else jumped out at me, and nothing is graphic.
Is it a good book club book?
It is. The question of who belongs to whom, and what we owe people we did not choose, will keep a group talking well past the snacks.
