High, expensive fashion is not my thing, but I am a sucker for something cute and flattering at a great price. With our cold winter, I am especially drawn to anything that will keep me warm! Life has become so busy I rarely get a chance to shop, but I found these 5 sweaters on clearance and have LOVED them. A few readers have asked for more regular clothing posts, so here I am sharing a few favorites today.
Gray Fringed Blanket Sweater from Hollister ($29.97): I don’t usually frequent Hollister, but I was shopping with my nieces and couldn’t help but try this one on. It ended up being exactly what I was looking for…comfy, warm, and so easy to wear and pair. It also comes in Oatmeal. Fits true to size.
Loose Fitting Patterned V-Neck Sweater from Hollister $20: I have been wanting a sweater that is casual and pairs easily with jeans and boots, and this little find from Hollister was perfect. I love that it isn’t tight but is plenty flattering. It would also look great dressed up or layered, plus it comes in lots of great colors and patterns. Fits loosely, so order true to size or down one size if you are small up top.
Textured Pull Over Sweater Old Navy ($19): My favorite sweater of the season. The fit is ideal, fitted and loose in all the right spots, plus it is both thin and warm at the same time. Not to mention the bright red/orange color and varied texture makes it look much more expensive than it really is. I have worn it with jeans, skirts, layered, tucked in and out and love it every which way. If bright colors are not your thing, it comes in a variety, plus I got mine for only $9 in store…score! Runs big…go down at least one size for sure.
Cable Front Turtleneck Sweater Old Navy: ($23) Nothing says cozy like cable knit, but I have had a hard time finding one I love, until now. This turtleneck sweater is my perfect winter option. I love the light, soft colors which are a nice change from the grays and blacks of winter. I got the light pink and it adds femininity to the classic look. I love this one dressed up with black pants and black leather jacket or dressed down with jeans and boots. It is my perfect winter staple. Fits true to size, but is not especially long if you prefer sweaters that are. Still, a really great fit. I got mine for only $13 in store.
Cowl Neck Sweatshirt, Sam’s Club ($14): My mom found these awesome sweatshirts at Sam’s Club, and since, as a mom, I could basically live in a cute sweatshirt every day, I had to have one (or two). They are made by Eddie Bauer, and are such a cute easy fit. They pair well with jeans and boots or with athletic wear…and for $14 (in store, ours were clearanced at $8) why not? They fit snugly, but the panels on the sides make it very flattering. I went up a size and was happy with that.
What have been your favorite winter finds? Happy Shopping!
