January Picks

Starfish by Lisa Fipps

This book, written in verse, is an awesome, fast-paced read with a really important message about focusing on the inside instead of the outside and accepting people for who they are. Great for 11 and up.

Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate

If your teen is looking for a book that will keep them reading, this one is excellent. The story is a bit dark, so best for 16 and up.

Same Time Next Summer by Annabel Monaghan

 I needed a light, beach read and this one was perfect. A little Hallmarkish but good writing and a plot that kept me engaged.

As You Wish by Cary Elwes

If you enjoyed The Princess Bride, you will absolutely adore this Audible. It’s the behind the scenes of the making of the movie written and read by “Wesley.” Most of the other characters pop in to give their versions and insight too. I smiled through the whole thing and absolutely loved it…way more than I thought I would.
