If you are a parent, you have surely encountered a million questions you wish you had the answer for…some classics: “Why is the sky blue?” “Why does the wind blow?” “Why do I have to eat vegetables?” I know I have done my best to explain these and sometimes answered with, “Um, because,” so I loved reading National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book of Why with my 7 year old. For one, it is non-fiction, which he loves; and two, it gave me all the answers to those crazy questions in easy to understand language. I found myself engrossed even after he had moved on to the next activity. It is a great way to open your little one’s eyes to the magic world of science with large font, cool pictures and extra fun facts. Highly recommended!
