Today we are spotlighting iD Tech Camps, camps for kids especially interested technology. iD Tech Camps don’t just give campers a taste of programming, designing, and gaming, they allow them to dive in and pursue their passions in a day camp, overnight camp, or home based setting. Q: What is iD Tech?
iD Tech provides summer STEM camps and programs for kids and teens nationwide. In 1999, the company was started with a goal of providing students with high-energy, hands-on technology education in a summer camp setting. Specific dates vary by location, but summer programs run from June through August. Options include weeklong day and overnight sessions for ages 7-17 at iD Tech Camps, and 2-week, overnight Academies for teens ages 13-18. Programs are held at over 80 prestigious universities nationwide.

Courses cater to students of all interests, backgrounds, and skill levels. Kids and teens program apps, design video games, build websites, engineer robots, produce films, and more. Programs offer a balance of indoor/outdoor time with optional sports, campus excursions, board games, and other fun summer activities.

Campers look forward to taking interests to the next level. Students interested in video games, apps, robots, and more can choose from a number of courses and then learn how to create projects of their own!
Q: What does a typical day at iD Tech look like?
A typical day at iD Tech includes lab time to work on projects, meals in the campus dining hall, fun outdoor activities, gaming tournaments, and plenty of opportunities for problem-solving, collaboration, creativity, innovation, and more.

Often times, students choose to attend multiple weeks of camp each summer, and many return year after year to try out new courses and explore new university locations. It is also common for students to start at iD Tech Camps and then enroll for an Academy the next summer.  Some iD alumni are going on to do BIG things at companies like Facebook, Google, Electronic Arts™, and Adobe®.
Q: Anything parents need to know about food/transportation, etc.?
As part of the collegiate experience, students eat right in the university dining halls. Students with dietary restrictions can notify iD Tech once they enroll.
